Mrs. Rosalind Gordon, a longtime Crown Heights resident, passed away on Sunday, 28 Adar, 5777.
Rosalind (Sarah Raizel bas Ahron) was the wife of Nison Gordon OBM, a well-known Yiddish writer who wrote for The Algemeiner Journal among other newspapers for over 45 years.
The Rebbe attended her husband’s funeral procession on Chanukah of 1990, the last funeral procession that the Rebbe followed, after having not done so for 10 years prior.
She is survived by her children Binyomin Gordon – Lawrence, NY, Larry (Aryeh Leib) Gordon – Lawrence, NY, Yossy Gordon – Flatbush, Brooklyn, and Peshe Blander – Flatbush, Brooklyn.
The Levaya will take place today, Sunday at 3pm at Shomrei Hadas chapel in Boro Park. Kevurah will be in Eretz HaChaim Cemeteries in Beit Shemesh.
Shiva will be observed by Peshe Yossy and Binyomin at 635 Montgomery Tues-Sunday.
Larry will be sitting beginning of this evening at 16 Sunset Road, Lawrence, Ny
7pm Mincha, 7 am Shacharis
He will be sitting Tuesday in Crown Heights, he is sitting till Fri morning.
