It started out seven years ago, when a small group of lubavitchers wanted to get away for pesach while adhering to all Lubavitcher minhagim. It has since blossomed into a full pesach retreat, with no compromising on kashrus standards, or hiddurim.
Unlike other hotel getaways, this program does not just try to accomodate Chabad minhagim as best they could, rather this is a totally Lubavitch- only program, with all chabad chumros, no potato starch, no spices, no cooking milchigs and everything peeled, just like in your own kitchen.
The aim each year is to create a great, warm, atmosphere where a strictly Lubavitcher-minhagim -only crowd can spend an enjoyable, quality yom tov together, without the Pesach cleaning stress and without having to compromise one iota on strictness. This, say the organizers, is what makes this program so unique, and is the key reason for its continuous sell out crowd each year.
The program has a variety of Shiurim for men and women with guest speakers and special children’s programs.
The attraction is also in the accomodations. The program is in a Marriott suites-only hotel, which enables families to have extra space. The Marriott chain assures that cleanliness and comfort is not compromised.
This year, to accomodate the larger crowd, the organizers have booked a larger hotel than before. With pesach fast approaching, rooms are being rented on a first come, first serve basis. This year, the hotel is located only about an hour from Crown Heights, making it very convenient for those who have to go to work. Rooms are booking very fast, some styles of suites are already sold out. To book your room or for more info, check out their website at www.pesachny.com or call 845 664 5141.
The three most important considerations for a successful program are:
Kashrus
Affordability
Cleanliness
Kashrus
This program is very medakdek
Every vegetable is peeled
No outside products are used
No spices
All meat and chicken is Lubavitcher shechita
The goal is to create a place where one can say “the kashrus, chumros and standards are like my home”
Affordability
Costs are kept as low as possible. Many guests claim they are paying the same as it would cost to make pesach at home.
Cleanliness
The program partners with a high standard luxury hotel chain to ensure impeccable cleanliness and great comfort. This year the program is being hosted in the Marriott hotel chain.

Which hotel is this?
These are all good questions, but if you are seriously considering, call or email the contact info on the website. You’ll get faster answers
Is there a big dining room, everyone eats together or you eat in your own room?
What about Sukkos?
In the cooking – do they use Shmaltz only (like Lubavitch always used to do) or oil?
Also: Do they use sugar at all?
