INNOVATIONS & FEATURES

Color-Coded Text: The Hebrew text, along with its transliteration, is entirely color-coded using three different colors to highlight the questions, the descriptions of all other nights of the year, and the descriptions of the night of Pesach. In addition, the phrases are visually formatted to match the rhythm and pattern of the text. This assists the reader to easily visualize the repetitive structure of the Ma Nishtana text.

Original Illustrations: The text comes alive with original, meticulously detailed illustrations by artist Yanky Gitlin, depicting both the descriptions of all other nights of the year and of the night of Pesach. Beneath each illustration are captions in English using the same color coding as the complete Ma Nishtana text. These enhance the experience and make it easy to visualize the concept and relate to the Ma Nishtana text itself.

Table Format: The full Ma Nishtana text and illustrations face each other and are arranged in a table format, so that they can be read either across or down, to compare and contrast the differences of Pesach from all other nights of the year. This format helps the reader to visualize and understand, simultaneously and when read separately, both the text and the structure of the four questions of the Ma Nishtana.

Linear Transliteration & Translation: Linear, color-coded text of the Ma Nishtana in Hebrew, transliterated and translated, are included on the back. The bolded font highlights the literal translation, with the regular font providing supporting explanations. This encourages one to think a little deeper and learn the individual meaning and function of the words and phrases, instead of just whole sentences.
