New York based singer Eli Marcus released a cover of Chaim Israel‘s hit song “Melech Haolam”, which was composed by Udi Damari.
“After hearing this song, and realizing that many people had never heard it before, we decided to rerecorded it with a more familiar sound and introduce it to the audience here,” Marcus said.
He had a new arrangement done by arranger and musician Avrumi Berko. “This was a very fun project, and working with Eli was a real pleasure,” Berko said.
Marcus said what also drew him to the song was that “the message and the spirit that it conveys was truly something that we felt we had to share with our listeners.”

LYRICS:
Love both of them actually. Distinct styles but a great song that works I like Eli’s style a little more but that’s just me..
I like the original, Chaim Yisroel has a warm voice, and the music is better.
big fan. love your voice!!
the orig makes you think of a carnival and clowns. it has a comedic sense and lightness to it. the new one is a bumping dance track.
voice wise, al taam vaal raiyach. both nice. eli’s voice is bright, sharp and clear. chaim yisroel has a very mizrachi style.
bekitzur, very fun song. looking forward to adding it to my work out track
love them both. partial to Eli because if you ever met him or had him at a simcha its hard to be objective about such a likeable person 🙂
i always loved avrumi’s music
way more freilich and appropriate to the music
Marcus has a more mature, warm voice and nails it.
love it
love them both
