The highly anticipated arrival of the new home goods destination, Kettle & Cord, opens this Sunday, kicking off a week of exciting grand opening events. With a full gut renovation and a new layout, the shop brings an exciting shopping experience to Crown Heights.
The newly renovated store encompasses a beautiful and large new ground floor showroom, an exquisitely tiled Mikvah and a basement floor that includes a fully functional kitchen for product demos and events.
The Grand Opening Family Event will take place Sunday, February 5th from 12:30 pm – 6:30 pm. Bring the kids for a day of fun featuring cookie decorating, helium balloons, face painting by Joy of Face Art, photo fun and door prizes.
A Ladies Night Out event on the following Monday, February 6th from 8:00 pm will include a cooking demo in the brand new demo kitchen with Dini Delivers food blogger, buffet set up by Mimulo and free gift.
On Thursday, February 9 men are invited to the store for a lavish food buffet by Izzy’s Smokehouse, including brisket, smoked cholent, empandos, chicken poppers and pulled beef, and a full bar by Wine By The Case.
The various departments will feature a fully loaded baking and cooking ware section, sewing supplies section, pantry and closet organization department, home improvement center and a one-of-kind gift collection. The store will offer delivery to local halls for Lchaims.
“Our gift department is going to be a very exciting innovation,” says Zissy Kahana, store manager. “We’re seeking to bring never-before-seen gifts to the neighborhood, perfect for Chosson and Kallah, a host, a Yom tov gift and much more.”
The gift department will have high-end and unique homeware. Artisan gift-wrapping will transform the gifts with options of silk flowers and/or ribbon finishing.
Each of the different department categories will include hand picked items that fall within a variety of price ranges so customers are able to choose what best suits their needs.
“We like to say the products range from good quality to better quality to best quality,” says Kahana. “It all really depends on your budget and needs, but you will always walk away with a quality product.”
Instructional videos and customer service staff will educate you on new products and ways to utilize them. “We plan to continue to provide the friendly and helpful service which the original store is well-known for,” Kahana says.
One feature Kettle & Cord is especially proud of is their Shop at Home option, which will allow you to order an item and have it delivered locally within the hour, free of charge. “Dip and Ship” will offer free toiveling and shipping free anywhere in the U.S.
Website with full online shopping and shipping options coming soon.

If you are going to walk into the store to look at nice things, then leave and order it on Amazon to save $5 because you can’t “fargin”, this store will close its doors, and you will make the uber-Leftist Jeff Bezos richer. You want nice stores in Crown Heights? PATRONIZE THEM. This is how… Read more »
