Harvard Shliach Rabbi Hirschy Zarchi recalls the leadership qualities and kindness of Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Donald Trump and Harvard graduate.
In an interview with the JTA, Zarchi praised Kushner as a “mensch” who personally gave the then-fledgling Chabad Center at the University “one of the largest checks we ever received, not just from a student, but even from a parent.”
Zarchi said that Kushner was a regular at Chabad and was “like a part of the family” to him and his wife, Elkie. From his earliest days at Harvard through his senior year, Kushner attended the Zarchi children’s birthday parties, sent flowers to the family and received chicken soup from Elkie Zarchi at his dorm when he came down with the flu, JTA reported.
Kushner, who maintains his friendship with Rabbi Zarchi today, served as MC at the Harvard Chabad new building dedication in 2003.
“When people walk into your home, they enter as guests,” Kushner said to the Zarchis. “After conversing and experiencing your warmth, there is not a person who does not leave as another one of your children. We are all grateful for the selflessness and dedication that both of you show on a daily basis.”

Zarchi told JTA that Kushner would bring friends to Friday night dinner and would sometimes perform yeoman’s work for the rabbi.
One night during his freshman year, after spending a few hours with Zarchi studying Tanya, a Jewish mystical text, Kushner saw it had snowed outside, asked for a shovel and cleared the sidewalk in front of the house, they wrote.
wow wow keep up the good work Jared Kushner you rock

Just don’t be part of a team to make “peace” with Israel and the Palestinians, because that will pressure Israel.

Indeed being a mensch and being kind should be a cornerstone for all Jews – including shluchim
