The New York Police Department on an alert for a man who made a threatening comment to a security guard of Campus Chomesh, one of the branches of the Bais Rivkah Jewish girls school in Crown Heights.
According to the NYPD, an African American male driving a silver SUV vehicle pulled up to the African American guard stationed at the school on Brooklyn and Lefferts Avenues.
The guard was helping students during dismissal when the driver displayed a firearm pointed at the guard and stated, “Why are you working for the Jews?”
The driver then drove away.
“We are treating the incident as a possible bias pending investigation,” the NYPD told COLlive.com.
Police also said they will provide extra police coverage at local Jewish schools following the incident.
Whoever thinks there is no cameras you are wrong! I take my children to school every single day and I see the cameras working just fine. But I will agree that there has to be more safety for our children. They need to be safe! This is not ok anymore. To many tragic things happening in this world and we don’t need more happenening to our dear children!! Hashem will help us and protect our girls. The driver could’ve got out of his car and do drastic changes!!
like real “katnus Hamoichin”…. and if theres cameras that makes our kids safe? recorded or not… does that really matter ?!
the real question is: can/is guard or admin deal with it NOW????!!!!!
Whatever happened threat or not, u need to take all nescarry safety preacautions. U don’t need to wait until something “happens” c”v!. It’s your children’s safety! So make sure they are safe.
It’s called “brandishing”.
Hope they caught the guy
dont mean to bash but african american is not a color. Its either black or white or brown. In this case a black man pointed a gun at the security guard
but im not sure if they record
Ok maybe they caught the vehicle & license plate if not the monster himself!
there are cameras. but the guy was in his car. thanks
How about pointing a GUN!!!! Is that not enough to call it a threat?
What r they doing about this ?? So scary !!
Not ok ! Act now !!
If the man used a weapon to intimidate the guard then that’s a threat of itself. It wasn’t just an anti- semitic statement! He pointed a ‘Gun’ at the guard to express himself, besides making his hateful remarks. And yes where’s the cameras, maybe they caught a license plate number!
hope youre wrong…i cannot believe we are the only public building without cameras….does this administration even care about our children…..please reassure us that you have cameras…..and i hope you make sure when i bring my child tomorrow that there is heavy police presence there all day protecting our children
Who said there aren’t any cameras??
There are
doesn’t matter, he pointed a gun at the guard!!!!! Do you possibly need more??? People could use this as an incentive heaven forbid!!!!! How could you say that
No pictures? Beis Rivka doesn’t have live working cameras all around and outside the school??? You have got to be kidding.
seems like it was just an anti-semitic statement, was an actual threat made?
