On Shabbos Mevorchim Teves, Tzivos Hashem boasted 71,843 Kapitach of Tehillim said by chayolim in bases around the world. “But we are not satisfied,” says Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum, General of Chayolei Tzivos Hashem Brigade. “This month, we want our numbers to double.”
A comprehensive campaign has been prepared to multiply the amount of kapitelach said by each soldier. The campaign includes a tutorial video, letter to parents of all soldiers, posters for schools to hang up, reports that can be shared with parents, and personalized programming that allows parents to update their children’s quotas straight from their smartphones.
“Like any army, we wanted to battle on all fronts,” Shimmy explains. “That’s why we’re asking every parent to do all they can to encourage their children to participate in this campaign.” We all know the famous Hayom Yom of Chof Hey Shvat: “Saying the whole Tehillim on Shabbos Mevorchim is important for every person, their children, and their grandchildren.”
What better way to start off the month of Shvat than by promoting the Frierdiker Rebbe’s hora’ah of Shabbos Mevorchim Tehillim?
This month’s Tehillim is in Z’chus of a Refuah Sheleima Ukrova for a Chayol in Tzivos Hashem Chana Bas Mushka.

Look at todays Hayom Yom Its upon us parents to encourage our children to say Tehilim *HAYOM YOM* CHOF-BEIS TEVES It is a mitzvah for boys over Bar Mitzvah to put on Tefillin every day. It doesn’t matter how learned he is or whether he an read or not. The Rebbe Rashab said that the same thing is with the mitzvah of chinuch/education. All of us, whether we are learned or simple people, need to spend a half an hour every day thinking about the chinuch of children. We need to do everything we can — and even more —… Read more »
Tzivos Hashem are incredible at providing amazing program for our children.
Whats amazing is that I would have thought that 70,000 kapitelach would be something to celebrate, However Tzivos Hashem are never satisfied.
They keep pushing our limits.
At the same time may I mention that the school plays a big role in this. I have boys in one school and girls in another.
My girls come home pumped about shabbos mevorchim and my boys would not even know that this month is shabbos mevorchim.
Why dont my school send home the letters to the parents?
Is there a way that col could post the letters for each grade so I can get to see what options my kids have to say.
It will help you understand how it works

I remember the days when children would pack into 770… before missions, before quotas…
Yasher Koach to ULY – CH for spearheading this project back in the day.
For being the first to bring awareness to our children about tehilim shabbos mevorchim – in the Rebbe’s shul.
And kol hakovod to Tzivos Hashem for bringing this to the masses.
May our Tefilos bring us Moshiach!!!!

My kids heard about it in school and we already chose their quota on my parent account! Thank you for such a personalized program!
