Isn't it obvious that they would have learnt about both aspects of the Rambam?

If you learn rambam 365 days a year and they only teach your son about his health 1 day a year in school, I think your son would have a good understanding of who the rambam was.

You don’t have to jump all over his comment. I believe most Jewish people associate Rambam as being the greatest Torah scholar of his time as well as one of the greatest of all time! Many Torah scholars had special skills they I excelled in, but that was not what they are remembered for. Our Rebbe was an engineer who worked on top secret things for the U.S. government after WWII. My son
January 18, 2017 9:16 pm

My son in rabbi karps class went to the hatzolah garage and got a chance to see what it feels like to sit in the driver seat doing the mitzvah of hatzolas work. It was a very special trip for him. They even got to see and hear rabbi Feldman get a hatzola call.

Thank you rabbi karp

Thank you rabbi karp for arranging this trip. Another wonderful learning opportunity by a wonderful melamed. Thank you for this and ensuring else you do.

Can you please explain what’s wrong with teaching our kids about being healthy!?
Last I checked there its a mitzvah in the Torah…
And if you are really concerned about the chasidish aspect you can do some research on the Rebbe sichos on why the ambulance is parked in front of 770. The Rebbe found it important. But apparently. You seem to have your own opinion….

Yes!! When you think Rambam you do think health! If you were not aware let me enlighten you….The Rambam was considered one of the greatest doctors if not the greatest doctor of his time…. I’m trying to figure out what exactly is the problem with my son associating the Rambam with health … You are what we call a hater…..Plain and simple……
