Israeli Major general (Aluf) Yossi Bachar who commands the IDF’s General Staff Corps. and Israel National Police Commander Roman Buchomenski were seen at Lubavitch World Headquarters on Sunday.
The two came to 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, NY, and were given special access to the Rebbe’s room where thousands have received blessings and guidance.
They were accompanied by Rabbi Mendy Carlebach, Chaplain of the Port Authority Police Department of New York and New Jersey, and Rabbi Chanina Sperlin, Vice President for Director Intergovernmental Affairs for the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council.
Sperlin later hosted the dignitaries in his home for refreshments and an official welcome to the Crown Heights community.
After this inspiring visit to 770, the Commander committed to purchasing and putting on Tefillin every day, after a gap of over 13 years.
