Shluchim, Rabbonim, Anash activists and businessmen joined for an important meeting during this year’s Kinus.
The meeting served as an opportunity to debrief the attendees on the past six months of the Lamternchick (lamplighter) program, and share ideas, challenges, best practices and developments to enhance and advance the project during the next piloting phase.
As has been reported the Lamternchik program, a project of Vaad Or v’Chom Hahiskashrus, is now piloting in 4 regions across the globe (Buenos Aires, Chicago, London, and south Florida), empowering anash through providing them with the tools and resources to reach out and connect with fellow Jews in their neighborhood, thereby fulfilling the Rebbe’s vision.
In attendance were Rabbi Tzvi Grunblat, director of Chabad Lubavitch activities in Argentina, Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar, Rabbi Boruch Hertz of Chicago, Rabbis S.B. Sudak and Rabbi Getzel Itzinger of England and Rabbis Yisroel Spalter, Yoel Gancz and Shiya Rubenstein of Florida as well as members of Vaad Or v’Chom Hahiskashrus.
A representative of the Peliei Chabad initiative in israel, Rabbi Mendel Diskin, was on site to share insight and ideas on our common goals, as well as a representative from the Meromim Foundation, Rabbi Bentzi Lipsker, which has been the main financial pillar of the program.
Several local coordinators unable to attend the event tuned in via a live internet feed.
