On October 6th, Rebbetzin Shternie Raskin, Director of Gan Menachem Kiddie Korner Preschool in Brooklyn Heights, organized a special challah bake.
The event was done in the merit of Adam Kreif, a young husband and father of three, who is in need of a bone marrow transplant to save his life.
The evening was dedicated to Adam and the hope that he finds a donor resulting in a Refuah shleleimah Kerovah – a speedy recovery.
Over 40 women were in attendance, showing their support for Adam. The event opened with a wonderful array of wine and cheese and transitioned into a spiritual challah bake.
Sheli Man-Steinberg, Director of Gan Menachem Kiddie Korner Preschool on Montague Street, led the women through the process teaching them the beauty and importance of Hafrashat Challah.
“The evening was special for many reasons,” said Mrs. Raskin. “Bringing awareness to Adam Kreif and contributing to helping find a donor, along with the education, love and friendship that goes into a challah bake, made it a memorable to attendees,” she said.
