BH, there has been good feedback about TheShidduchOffice’s speed shidduch networking events. And perhaps more importantly, some Shiduchim reported as a direct result, and there are probably others that are indirectly related to the networking that happened at the events.
When talking to people who have been successfully matched and are BH married, many will tell you that the Shidduch came about through networking with others. In doing your hishtadlus, networking with others is crucial. TheShidduchOffice has made these networkings easier with these events.
At the events, you will get to meet with others that you might not have networked with otherwise. Everyone at the event is there for the same purpose – to assist in making a Shiduch for a person they really care about.
You can present yourself, a child, friend, neighbor, child’s friend, friend’s child, a student … anyone you care about. (This event is for women only, presenting about both men and women.)
Program details:
When: Monday, September 26, 2016 – 23 Elul 5776
Where: Levi Yitzchok Library 305 Kingston Avenue
8:00 PM: General networking & welcome
8:15 PM prompt: Small group speed-shiduch networking
What exactly is Small group speed-shiduch networking? The idea is that everyone will get to share about their singles – in smaller groups, rather than a general sharing. We’ll ‘meet’ the shiduch prospects through conversation with people who really care about them, rather than listening to a profile.
In small groups, we’ll share a ‘snapshot profile’ , brief and pinpointed. And then, the others can ask focused questions to get to know them a bit better. In this way, we can keep the conversations productive and directed.
We’ll start off in small groups, and share about our singles. Then when the bell rings, we go off to our next small group and ‘meet’ other singles. And then again to another group. In the smaller group settings, we’ll get to meet new people who we can network with even after the event.
A few shadchanim will also be on hand to have a speed-shiduch conversation with you about your single. Please come prepared with a printed copy of the profile and a photo. There are a limited amount of slots, available first-come, first-serve; you must pre-register.
Join us this Monday! You never know where a shiduch might come from!
Pre-register for the event here. If you have any suggestions or questions, you may email us at [email protected]
I know personally of a story where the girl came and represented herself. Not long after the meet and greet one of the shaddchanim called her with an idea. it worked. i”h you too should have good news very soon 🙂
those who have siblings ,make an effort !!!!go and represent your siblings!!!
You can come and represent yourself! Or email us and we’ll have someone presenting you 🙂
The article says you can come and represent yourself. Let’s not have a chip please. Work with what you have and present a positive attitude to move forward. If you can’t create a positive attitude, do yourself a favor and do some sessions at a psychologist.
Don’t feel so bad for yourself. I am FFB and have to take care of my own shidduchim. Youre not taking care of your own shidduchim bc of your parents, your choice, or the community. Hashem made that choice and you must realize that he loves you, so that you can take on that mission from Him, with love.
Give a lecture teaching mothers what questions are valid and what just plain foolish. Ie does the girls mother make her own fish? Is she bigger than a size 2.
Couldn’t make this up. Leave Moshiach out.
as a BT, with nobody representing me (my parents are not frum), I grew up out of town too, I feel left out, and unfortunately, “once again.”
Talk to the singles and LISTEN
Which shadchanim will be there?
