New Shluchim to Los Angeles

Rabbi Avremi and Ester Chein (nee Shifren) will be joining Chabad of SOLA as Youth and Event Directors, just in time for the High Holidays.

Rabbi Avrohom and Mrs. Stery Zajac, Directors of Chabad of SOLA, have expressed their excitement about the addition of the new couple to the community. “We look forward to expanding our community by focusing on giving the children of SOLA a positive, joyful, and chassidish experience.”

Rabbi Avremi Chein will run the “S-teen” youth minyan on Shabbos and Yom Tov and will coordinate mivtzoim and trips with bochurim on a monthly basis.

Mrs. Ester Chein will run the children’s program in shul on Shabbos and Yom Tov, create an “S-teen” group and coordinate monthly mivtzoim and trips for teenage girls, and will be a main teacher at SOLA’s “The Jewish Montessori” Preschool.

The Cheins will be working on adding more events and programs for the SOLA community.

Last week, Rabbi Avremi Chein met with Rabbi Shlomo Cunin, Head Shliach of Chabad of California and Chabad activities on the West Coast. Rabbi Cunin wished much hatzlacha to the couple.

Rabbi Avremi Chein, originally from Ottawa, spent a year on shlichus in Sydney, Australia.

Mrs. Ester Chein, a native to Los Angeles, spent a year working for Friendship Circle of Palo Alto, CA and a year of shlichus in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.
Rabbi and Mrs. Chein look forward to continuing their love and passion for shlichus at Chabad of SOLA.
