2 bochurim from a camp in the Catskill mountains who went missing on Thursday after a hiking trip in Bear Mountains Park were found safe Friday morning.
The bochurim, who have been described as 16 years old and from Brooklyn, are spending the summer at the Stoliner Mesivta Camp.
Police and Chaveirim volunteers from Rockland County have been searching the woods since last night.
Reports said the boys were on a hike with their camp and somehow got separated from their group.
Friday morning it was reported the boys were found safe and sound at 9:30 am.
Dancing and singing could be seen in the Stoliner Mesivta Camp after the good news was released that the Bochurim were found safe, YWN reported.
Make sure to have dog cookies in your pocket! Jesse was out there looking for ya! Glad your safe!
BH they are safe. This happens every year!!. Their teachers are their year-round rebbies in yeshiva, not counsellors. When will we teach these kids about compasses and how to hike, how to make markers and how to judge their position by the sun, so they don’t just wander into the woods like mayvinim?
#1 you’re asking a very good question and I agree with you and secondly the most important thing they’re safe and that is the most important thing BH
Camp counselors! Please keep an eye on your campers! Their safety is your responsibility! It’s a good idea to have some counselors to the back of the group to watch for any stragglers.
