A new Torah was completed and welcomed in a festive celebration at Evergreen Estates in the Catskills on Sunday.
The Torah was co-sponsored by residents of Evergreen Estates and Yerachmiel and Rivkah Leah Jacobson and family, in honor of the 25th yartzeit of Rivkah Leah’s beloved father, R’ Shloime Shmuel Aryeh Kapland, OBM.
The Torah was completed and led with singing and dancing to its home at the Shul at Evergreen Estates, where Hakafos took place.
A festive barbecue seudah and entertainment with 8th Day band and Mendy J. followed.

I was there! It was the most amazing and uplifting experience! Everyone was so so happy and emotional at the same time! May this new Torah bring lots of simcha and brochos to all of evergreen and all who participated in the siyum! And may the neshama of rabbi capland have the biggest Aliyah! From the beginning to the end , this was the most beautiful event ! Mendy j and 8th day rocked!!!

i remember when we had a carnival in camp , his bunk had horse back riding . i remember very clearly sammy on the horse . he knew how to ride a horse
