A new initiative by The Shluchim Office gives Lubavitch children in day schools the opportunity for chassidsher chinuch.
Many children of Shluchim and Anash live in communities where there is no regular Lubavitcher school or cheder, and therefore attend the local Jewish day school. As expected, the Lubavitcher, chassidisher chinuch is lacking.
Building on the success of the Nigri International Shluchim Online School, this past year, The Shluchim Office launched a pilot cheder program that puts the expertise and profession of online learning into practice
With separate classes for boys and girls on Sundays and a weekday afternoon for many age groups, the online cheder completed its first year with 40 children enrolled and is expanding for the coming school year.
By joining the online cheder, children will participate in full chasidisher curriculum, similar to that followed in all Lubavitcher schools around the world, giving them the opportunity to learn about the chassidisher yomim tovim, raboseinu nessienu, and hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
This is a long time forgotten segment in Lubavitch– the precious Lubavitch children who are not children of shluchim. There are thousands of anash children who live all over the world with their families who are supporting and helping the Rebbe’s shluchim! These children do not receive the few “perks” that the shluchim do. Often being forced to homeschool with their parents on their own.
