Democratic presumptive presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has picked Tim Kaine, who held a long career in public service as her running mate in the 2016 election.
Kaine, U. S. Senator from Virginia, served as Governor of Virginia from 2006 to 2010 and chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2009 to 2011.
Virgina Jews note how Kaine lobbied to have the Sabra company open the world’s largest hummus factory near Richmond and how he hosted a Passover Seder in the governor’s mansion.
In November, Kaine joined a number of Democratic policymakers who called on President Barack Obama to write a strengthened “Memorandum of Understanding” on security assistance to Israel, Breaking Israel News reported.
He has visited Israel a number of times, most recently in January, when he and a delegation of Democratic senators met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss oversight of the Iran deal, the website said.
But others are quick to point out that Kaine was the co-author of the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act to support President Barack Obama‘s deal. When Netanyahu came to address a joint session of Congress on the matter, Kaine boycotted the speech.
“When Israel needed to be defended from an Iran deal that the Obama administration had no intent of enforcing, and that the ayatollahs had no intent of keeping, Tim Kaine joined a walkout, putting politics above principle and sound foreign policy,” Breitbart News editor Joel Pollak wrote.

who is concerned with Israel. Pres. Bush was ‘pro Israel’ but The Israeli Govt. wasn’t

I have no idea which Jews here are excited about Tim Kaine. Everyone I know can’t stand him. He has ties to the Muslim brotherhood, supports j street and the division of Israel chas v’shalom, and supports huge tax hikes. Hillary would never pick someone pro-Israel. It’s not part of her agenda.
We know she is not, so what difference does it make? A Vice president’s role is very limited, and is really only of importance if, G-d forbid, the President dies. Which we do not wish for either one of the candidates.
If Hillary likes him, he can’t be good for decent hardworking Americans.
