From Shirley Ben, a resident of Montreal, Canada:
My 7-year-old son Daniel goes to the Camp Gan Israel TMR VSL DDO. Last week, I joined the camp for an outing at the Acro-Nature aerial park in Morin-Heights, Quebec.
After the kids finished eating lunch on the cafeteria tables, the counselors asked them to clean up the leftovers, including any garbage that was on the floor.
So my son literally went under the tables, like little boys do, and came up holding a photo of the Rebbe waving to a young boy. The photo was glued on a magnet.
I was sitting with one of the counselors when my son came running over to me with the photo. At first, I thought it must have been one of the counselors who gave it to him as a prize.
There were only 5 counselors on this field trip, so we asked around and no one knew where it came from. All my son knew was that it was stuck there under the table in the upstairs cafeteria.
Is there any way you can post it to possibly find the owner? This place is a really random place, in the middle of nowhere! Not somewhere where you would expect a picture of the Rebbe…
pardas chana gave it to us as part of a davening award systom.
i have that pic.
definitely from pardas chana, i have the same one
Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments. There is indeed a number 6 on the bottom left corner. The magnet is currently on my fridge but if the owner of the camps magnet board would like it back, please message me and I’ll be more than happy to mail it back to you!!
yes this is a beautiful story and also nice picture thank you very much for sharing this with us
Thats where my 6 card went 😉 unless its 16…
If you look on the bottom left there is a number for where it is placed on the magnetic board pc campers each have.
baruch hashem, i was zoche to be in pareds chana this summer.
part of their amazing program was a large magnet poster of rebbe pictures. when i saw the picture it looked familiar, and i realized its on my poster.
probably a child went out on visiting day with her parents and left it there by mistake.
definitely from pc that had an overnight there the night before, i have the same picture

Shirly Ben has in the last few years thrown herself into the work of the Rebbe at chabad Ville s Laurent in a most exemplary manner. This picture was meant for her family, it’s a small “thank you” the Rebbe sent her.
all lubavitch camps go there at some point during the summer someone left it there
I think there is a message there for your son. Get him to give extra tzedaka (as per the message the Rebbe was apparently giving that boy) during these three weeks and to encourage others to do the same!
The kid is Peles from Israel
we went their on a overnight
during the month we earned magnetic rebbe pictures
and one of them was that one!
The הוראה in עבודת ה…….
We should teach our kids (and grown ups) to clean up after them selves.
I don’t think you will need to find the owner, but it will be nice to know the story behind the picture.
And amazing picture of the Rebbe
Can anyone identify any of the people in the background? Please post names
We in Pardas Chanah had an overnight the week before, they gave that picture out as part of the Rebbe Picture project… I miss camp!!!! .

Camp gan yisroel montreal was there a few days before
After speaking to my Rabbi, he assumes that the picture is about a boy receiving a coin from the Rebbe for tzedaka purposes, and requesting the boy to place the coin in the pushkah. The Rebbe is seen pointing towards the entrance of 770 where one of the shul’s main pushka was located.
The Rebbe’s presence is now everywhere!
The proof is “in the pudding”…
