Members of the Sandhaus family are marking a double shiva mourning period after the loss of both a brother and a mother.
R’ Yosef Yehoshua Sandhaus, a Lubavitcher chossid who worked as a Mashgiach in South America, passed away in his sleep on Shabbos, 3 Tammuz, at the age of 68.
On the following Thursday, 8 Tammuz, his mother Mrs. Zissel Sandhaus passed away in Arizona at the age of 91. She was a pillar of the Chabad community in Argentina.
Both funerals were held last week in Brooklyn, passing by 770 Eastern Parkway. They were buried near each other at the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Cambria Heights, Queens.
R’ Yossel’s wife Ruth Sandhaus and children Yair, Moishe, Shlomi and Shoshi Sandhaus are sitting Shiva at 563 Montgomery St.
Davening times: Shacharis 8:00, 8:30 & 9:00am. Mincha 7:50, 8:00 & 8:10pm. Maariv 2 minyanim bizman, and at 9:15pm. Please try to visit between 12:30-3:00pm & 7:00-9:30pm.
Mrs. Zissel’s husband R’ Hershel Sandhaus and children Mrs. Tzippy Levertov, R’ Sruly Sandhaus and Mrs. Deby Rosenfeld are sitting at 1394 Union St.
Davening times: Shacharis at 9:00am, Mincha & Maariv bizman.
Rabbi Moshe Levi Rubenstein, brother of Mrs. Sandhaus is also sitting at 1394 Union St.
Her brother, R’ Moshe Levi Rubinstein Sheyichye, is also sitting shiva at 1394 Union Street.

The entire Sandhaus family, from R’ Hershel to Sruly, the sisters, and all of the Sandhaus children…. Hashem should find comfort in the warmth of the memories that you share and you be consoled among all the mourners around the world. You should be reunited immediately with your loved ones in the coming of MOSHIACH NOW!!! We cannot bear your pain!!
