A group of unruly Arabs threw stones at the women’s section of the Kotel in Jerusalem from the Temple Mount on Tuesday.
Video captured by Jerusalem Police shows the unruly men wearing Keffiyeh to cover their faces, while elderly Arabs attempt to stop them.
A 73-year-old Israeli woman was hit in the head and rushed to the hospital to receive medical treatment. She is said to be suffering light injuries.
Kotel Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovich called on police to first act against the “inciters” who are trying to use the last days of the Ramadan holiday to create “manufactured conflicts.”
“Har Habayis is in dangers from those so-called believers who are using faith to excuse their blind and cruel hate to Jews,” the rabbi stated.
Rabinovich said he hopes this incident was an isolated one that won’t be repeated. “Police should act with a strong hand to prevent this in the future,” he said.
