This past Sunday, the French Nshei Chabad of Crown Heights hosted a year-end Hakel event, closing a full year of growth and success.
The beautiful event drew close to fifty French women living in Crown Heights.
A delicious milchig buffet was served, catered by CS Events. Women were able to go around and visit different workshops, to give them tips and tricks on their different daily needs.
One popular workshop was with the hairdresser Shani Narboni, who gave women a live demonstration of how to add baby hair to a shaitel, and many ideas on giving a second life to a “dying” shaitel.
Make-up artist Ilanit Ivry gave simple and useful tips on how to look good in less than 5 minutes a day.
Doula Sterna Baruk shared her experience and knowledge on how to give birth in the most natural manner.
Dassy Gansburg showed participants how to make delicious, nutritious and quick smoothies to start the day on the right note. And finally, a baking corner was held by Debbie Bensaid on how to make a quick no-bake cheesecake.
All in attendance received a bag full of gifts, but the women that give so much of their time to organize events year-round and organize interesting weekly classes were thanked and given a gift of appreciation.
Just to name a few, Rivka Malachovski is devoted to giving a shiur in French every week, Sivan Labkowski makes sure that women that give birth are served hot, healthy meal for a week. And finally, the women behind French Nshei Chabad: Miriam Laufer, Dabrusha Bruchshtat, Shterna Chein, Sterna Baruk and Perla Katzburg.
The French Nshei Chabad organizes many events throughout the year, for the French women living in Crown Height and for the French Rebbe’s guests as well, during Sukkos, Chof Beis Shvat, Yud Tes Kislev and more.
