Rabbi Yitzchok Schochet, Rabbi of the Mill Hill community in London, will be the guest speaker for this year’s grand Hakhel Nshei Ubnos Chabad 61st annual Convention in Crown Heights 26 – 28th of Iyar, June 3-5.
Rabbi Schochet, a sought after international speaker on a vast range of topics, will be the guest speaker at the Shabbos afternoon event, which will take place at 4:30 pm at Oholei Torah ballroom. Mrs. Miriam Swerdlov will be the MC for the event.
An inspiring and stimulating program is planned for the guests of the convention, which begins Friday morning with davening in 770, going to the Ohel and a beautiful buffet lunch.
Friday night meals will be held at host families. On Shabbos day the women will be eating and farbrenging all together. Mrs. Sara Morosow will address the women at the Sunday luncheon on the topic, “The Rebbe Empowers Jewish Women.”
Rabbi Leibel Groner, the Rebbe’s Mazkir will farbreng at the Melave Malka session for guests, shluchos and Crown Heights women.
The Grand Hakhel banquet will be held downstairs in 770 on Sunday at 5:30 pm. Rabbi Shlomo Majeski will read the Rebbe’s letter and Rabbi Reuven Wolf, renowned lecturer and Director of Maayan Yisroel in Los Angeles, CA will be the keynote speaker.
The Rebbe established Nshei Chabad in the year 5712, and the annual convention was very dear to him, and he took special interest in every detail, especially the theme.
The Rebbe would send a letter to the convention and address the women and the girls in the main shul in 770 downstairs, and give his holy brochos together with a special message for the upcoming year.
One year, to stress to everyone how dear the Convention is to the Rebbe, the Rebbe instructed Rabbi Groner to go home and take care of their children, so that Mrs. Groner, who had just given birth, would be able to attend the convention.
“In this auspicious Hakhel year many organizations and schools have joined Nshei Chabad in the spirit of achdus,” said Mrs. Shterna Spritzer, Nshei Chabad director and one of the organizers of the convention. “We anticipate a rich and memorable Shabbos together. We look forward to hosting many guests from out of town and inspiring each other and being empowered to bring Moshiach Now!”
A family of giants. .
When these giants walk among us, we fail to appreciate their greatness, till they are no longer among us.
Look at all the many giants in this family of giants!
Giant of rabbonim, roshei yeshiva, askonim and those we turn to for advice.
Appreciate them while we have them!
So true! A few local Schochets speak at different shuls. This past shabbos I was at Bais Eliezer Yitzchok – Mikve Meir and during kiddush a Schochet visiting from Toronto spoke. It was very down to earth, engaging and thought provoking.
I noticed that there are several Schochet speakers at various functions and shuls. They have so much to give over. Thank you.
if it’s going to be anything as good as the talk Rabbi Shochat gave at the Beis Rivkah Hakhel event for girls from around the world then it will be amazing. I look forward to hearing him again.
