Real estate mogul and property investor Jacob Frydman joined the National Committee for Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE) in their efforts to offer financial relief to Crown Heights families for Pesach.
Frydman, Chairman and CEO of United Realty and Managing Partner of Hudson-York Capital, said that the centuries-old practice of giving to Maos Chitim is an important responsibility.
“I’ve had many blessings in my life, and I’m honored that I’m able to be a part of this mitzvah and help the needy in the community to celebrate Passover,” he said in a statement to COLlive.com.
“The NCFJE Poor and Sick Fund is the ideal conduit to bring that extra help that so many need,” Frydman said. “I see from their past work that the NCFJE has made countless positive lasting effects on individual families and the entire community.”
Through the generosity of a growing community of donors like Frydman, the NCFJE has delivered over 3000 pounds of shmurah matzah, 100 cases of wine, and Macy’s gift cards to the underprivileged families in the community.
By partnering with local children’s clothing stores, the organization obtained vouchers to include in the holiday packages of food. They already started distributing aid to local families in the form of shmurah matzah, wine, grape juice, and clothing vouchers.
Over his 30-year career in the property investment, Frydman made a lasting impression along the East Coast. He renovated over 5 million square feet of American property by building urban retail outlets, medical office buildings, financial center offices, and assisted living facilities.
Frydman is an avid philanthropist, donating time and capital to a wide variety of charities. He cares greatly for the Jewish community and is a supporter of Chabad houses and the Brem Foundation.
Hailing from humble beginnings, Frydman says giving to those in need is very important to him.
“He knows that the foundation of the Jewish community is the Jewish family, and he believes that by helping needy families we can all look forward to a stronger Jewish community as a whole,” says Rabbi Hanoch Hecht of the NCFJE.

Mr Frydman for giving our community a memorable Pesach holiday
There are many needy people in Crown Heights who did not hear about this. Are there any more vouchers or funds still available? Is there a contact name or number?
Thanks.
We are so grateful for your kindness Mr. Frydman. We count on this help every year to get us thru the Holiday. G-d bless you!
Thank you Mr. Frydman
Jacob Frydman is a great friend of Crown Heights and the Jewish educational Community!
