Shally Zomorodi, the anchor of FOX 5 San Diego Morning News, hosted a local Chabad Rabbi to discuss the importance of serving others under the segment “Faith Matters.”
But when she presented Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, co-director of Chabad of Poway in California, she added a personal comment that the rabbi “has become one of my favorite people.”
The good-natured rabbi founded the Friendship Circle of San Diego, an organization dedicated to providing friendship and support to individuals with special needs and their families allowing them to be fully included in their community.
The volunteer-based organization offers assistance and support to hundreds of individuals with special needs by providing a large range of social activities and at home programs.
Rabbi Goldstein encouraged viewers to get involved but also had an insightful thought to share about doing good in the world. No wonder Zomorodi and her fellow co-anchor Raoul Martinez were impressed.

Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein in his own unique kind presistent and friendly way continues being one of the singular soldiers of the Rebbe who hasn’t stopped doing the avodah since the 1970s.
Some make lots of noise, others make great clouds of dust, Rabbi Goldstein makes the Rebbe proud and that’s all that really counts.
