The chanukah spirit was truly felt at the 15th annual Light the Night Festival at Wells Fargo Bank on Thursday, 5th night of Chanukah.
Just as the party was supposed to begin, it started to rain. The rides, tables, stage and rock wall were soaked.
“Canceling the festival was not an option,” said the organizer, Rabbi Asher Yemini. Baruch Hashem, after 45 minutes the rain stopped and volunteers rushed with towels to dry the tables and rides.
Hundreds came out to enjoy the festival with bungee jumping, carnival rides, face painting, balloons and much more. The amazing IZZY D JAY got the crowd pumping with incredible beats and lively music that brought Pico-Robertson to life!
The highlight of the evening was the lighting of the giant Menorah by Dr. Ze’ev Ravnoy, followed by a Hakhel rally with Rabbi Berel Yemini of The Library Shul and Pesukim lead by Shliach Rabbi Amitai Yemini.
The festival is co-sponsored by Chabad Israel Center, 3 Wise Ventures, Camp Gan Israel of Los Angeles & Beverly Hills and The Library Shul.
Special thanks was given to Bee Wise Events & the volunteers from Ohel Chana High School.
