Chabad of Temecula is printing a special edition of the Tanya in honor of Yud Tes Kislev and a speedy recovery for their rabbi, Rabbi Yitzi Hurwitz, who is battling ALS.
Most of the printing will be done locally in Temecula, as per the directives of the Rebbe to print Tanyas in every city. The first page however will be printed in Rabbi Yitzi’s room in Los Angeles, CA.
The project was started a little over a year ago, when Rabbi Simcha Backman and his colleagues from the Hurwitz family Fund arranged for a printing of the first page in Rabbi Yitzi’s room. Now, the project is set to be completed.
“This is something that Rabbi Yitzi has wanted to do for such a long time. I’m so grateful that it’s happening,” says Rabbi Yonasan Abrams, the new shliach in Temecula. “The logistics are taken care of. Now all we need is the money!”
This $4,000 project of printing 200 Tanyas will be funded by preorders and dedications.
Once 100 Tanya’s have been preordered, the Tanya will go to print, hopefully on Tuesday, Yud Tes Kislev.
You can preorder an addition for your home for $36 including shipping.
Dedications are available for $180
