Moishy Holtzberg, the sole survivor of the Mumbai terror attacks, returned to the Shluchim family to receive a roaring standing ovation on Sunday night.
The crowd of 5,700 Shluchim and supporters stood on their feet as the 9-year-old boy made his way to the stage of the gala banquet of the International Kinus Hashluchim.
“No one could forget Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg,” Kinus chairman Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky said about the boy’s parents who ran the Chabad center in Mumbai, India.
Rabbi Kotlarsky recalled that tragic day Islamic terrorists hijacked the center and murdered the Holtzberg couple and others visiting Jews in a “barbaric” attack.
Their son Moishy was heroically rescued by his Indian nanny Sandra Samuel. Since than, Rabbi Kotlarsky stated, Moishy Holtzberg “became the child of klal yisroel. He’s grown into a beautiful young chassidishe child.”
The sweet voice of Holtzberg pierced through the hearts of all participants as he recited the chapter of Tehillim of the Rebbe as participants followed.
He was followed by Jerusalem’s Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar in prayer for Israel.
Holtzberg arrived with his grandparents Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg of Crown Heights and Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg of Afula, Israel, who raised the boy since the attacks.
Many Shluchim and supporters were seen walking over to personally greet the young Holtzberg and express their love and appreciation.

No one said his age, just a time lapse.
So if you do your maths, it all figures!

I would have never guess he went through such a hard life, his grandparents take such good care of him keep it up
He is 9. He was shy of his 2nd birthday when the terror attack happened. If he were to be 7 then he would’ve been a newborn then because it happened 7 years ago.
Amazing
But he is almost 9. My son and moishy share a birthday, born same year too.
