15,000 people gathered on Eastern Parkway in Crown Heights for a grand Mega-Hakhel unity event.
The program included singers Chaim Fogelman and Eli Marcus, music by Chony Milecki orchestra, and production by Mendy Boaron.
The program ended with an hour of lively Simchas Beis Hashoeiva dancing.
Organizers say they are still $20,000 short on funding for the event.

I hope you enjoyed last night we saw the rebbes promise for success for what ever you undertake and work hard for hakhel. From the weather to the incredible turn out. Why do people in this community work so hard to make such amazing events for us and are left with tens of thousands of debt.
I don’t have any money, I just borrowed $1,000 because I simply could not make yomtov. But I gave $140 tonight (begematriya hakhel).
If only 250 people join me there will be no debt left.

We watched it at a Hakhel gathering here in Montreal.It was amazing to see all those yidden gathered together..I wish I was there,better still,that Moshiach woulld have come,at that moment.
