World’s Largest Mezuzah

A scribe from the Israeli village of Kfar Chabad is hoping to be recognized by the Guinness World Records for the world's largest Mezuzah. It took him 22 hours to write on the 105 centimeters of parchment, compared to the two hours of a regular one. Photos

For Every solitary good innovative thing tht someone does, there’s a throng of commenters to criticize. Amazing. Has anyone here every done anything with their lives or only scratched their feet at the computer and used their free hand do condemn someone else’s work

Mezuzah for the Yafa Gate?
May 23, 2009 3:35 pm

It is a beautiful mezuzah indeed. However, a mezuzah must be affixed in the upper third of the doorpost. This mezuzah is more than a metter in height. That means that it can only be affixed on a door post which is well over three meters high (315 cm). It may be appropriate for the Yafa Gate.

22 hours for what?

Who cares about the Guiness Book of Records! He could have written 11 regular sized Mezuzahs in that time and given them away for free to a needy newly married couple(s).

Stunning!

Though a large mezuza is mehuda, It is wrong for the mezuza to be too big as it is something that should be hung on the door not vice versa
