Special opportunity today to write a letter in a Sefer Torah.
In conjunction with the 25th Yahrzeit of Rabbi Yaakov Yehudah Hecht obm, fondly known as Rabbi JJ, a Sefer Torah is being written in honor of Rebbetzin Chave Hecht, announced Rabbi Shimon Hecht.
The Torah had been commissioned to be written months ago with a Siyum date for 3rd Kislev – November 15, a day that the NCFJE will be celebrating their 75th Annual Awards Dinner.
The Sofer is presently in New York and only today will be at NCFJE Headquarters at 824 Eastern Parkway from 12 noon till 5:00 pm for anyone to come by and write a letter in the Sefer Torah.
The Torah brings unity and having a Torah with the participation brings an even greater unity. When the Torah is written in honor of a Rebbetzin who has been involved in Azkonus for over 70 Years and a Camp Director for over 60 years, it is truly a great honor to be part of this Torah.
Many know Rebbetzin Chave Hecht as director of Camp Emunah. There are over 10,000 girls who have been through Camp Emunah over the past 60 years and this will bring about an everlasting connection to the Torah.

can a woman write a letter? not trying to be cute, just mean it sincerely, since there are SO MANY women that would love to honor Rebbetzin Hecht, and owe much of their yiddishkeit to her
