Chaya Mushka Zaltzman, daughter of the Chabad Shluchim in Niagara Falls for whom prayers were said around the world, passed away on Shabbos morning, 10 Tammuz 5775.
The 6-year-old has been in critical condition for 13 days.
Members of Chabad Jewish Center of Niagara in Ontario, Canada, were joined by Jews from Toronto, Hamilton, Buffalo, France and throughout the world in saying Tehillim in her merit. Many children took upon themselves to do Mitzvos for her recovery.
On Motzoei Shabbos, her mother Perla Zaltzman wrote on Facebook that Moussia “returned her soul to her Creator peacefully this morning at 4:30 AM.”
She wrote that she was “Thankful to the Almighty for each minute of the 6 years, 4 months and 6 days he had entrusted us with the most precious of souls, our adored Moussia. The past 12 days we continued to shower her with so much love thanks to your support, prayers and Mitzvot.
“Moussia, with our shattered hearts, yet overflowing with love, we will continue to parents and adore you while you’re in Heaven, until we reunite with the coming of Moshiach now!” Mrs. Zaltzman concluded.
She is survived by her parents Rabbi Zalman and Perla Zaltzman, Directors of Chabad Jewish Center of Niagara in Ontario, Canada, and siblings Mendel Zaltzman (10), Daniel Zaltzman (8) and Pessia Esther Zaltzman (3).
She is also survived by her grandparents Rabbi Yoseph Yitzchak and Chiena Zaltzman, Director of the Jewish Russian Community Center of Toronto in Canada, and Rabbi Reuven and Zippora Matusof, Shluchim in Paris, France; uncles, aunts and cousins.
The levaya will take place on Sunday, 3:00pm at 770 Chabad Gate in Thornhill.
The funeral procession will arrive at the Hamilton Hebrew Academy (60 Dow Avenue) at 4:00 pm and depart shortly after for a graveside service at 5:00 pm at the newly reestablished Jewish cemetery – “Anshei Yosher Niagara” at:
812 Lyons Creek Road
Welland, ON L3B 5N4
(Please note, the cemetery has no signs or markers.)
Shiva will take place at the Zaltzman home at 12 Wooddale Drive in St. Catharines with morning services at 10:00am and evening services at 8:30pm.

we Davend at there Chabad house.
We were probably 1 out of almost 100 pepole there at the time that were Lubavich.
I remember as a child watching Rabbi Zaltzman get up after Davening, in front of everybody and began his words with” I I’m proud to represent the Lubavicher Rebbe”.
I will never forget that moment.
