Junior Nshei’s last and final program to wrap up the year featured the renowned Mrs. Sara Radcliff who delivered a comprehensive guide and tool- kit for enhancing the relationship we have with our spouse and children.
The evening began with a delicious milchig buffet sponsored by Pomodori. Hundreds of women were then seated around tables set with a gift box containing a beautiful genuine shell pearl bracelet sponsored by Exquisite Pearls. Alongside the gift box was a booklet outlining the tips and exercises Mrs. Radcliff prepared to bring her message home.
Although Junior N’shei’s programs usually begin punctually, their last program began late. Mrs. Radcliffe’s trip was wrought with miracles. Her flight that was supposed to land at 4:30 would leave her with plenty time to freshen up for the evening. Due to the weather, her flight was delayed more than 10 times. One of the co-ordinators wrote a pan to the Rebbe and B”H, she made the first flight that was allowed to leave Toronto and landed right before the program. She was promptly whisked away and brought, in the rain, straight to the hall.
Sticking to the topic of the evening, “Through Thick & Thin- Building and Maintaining an Enduring Relationship”, Mrs. Radcliff spoke about how crucial it was for there to be an overwhelming ratio of positive interaction, versus any slight negative one, by a margin of 95/5 for a great healthy marriage! While it may sounds very ideal and perhaps a very high bar, she clearly defined a variety of positive and negative interactions, as well as how significant and impacting our responses are on the people around us. She made a very compelling case for the hard work, effort and “unnatural conditioning” it requires of a person to master the art of being a positive, pleasant and interesting spouse and parent.
Sara also spoke about ten types of maturity factors that are so essential in marriage i.e. our ability to manage finances, stress, the ability to negotiate, to be giving etc. After describing each category women were encouraged to rate their level of maturity or mastery from 1-10 as well as how they would score their spouses. The next phase would be to share the material with a spouse and observe the ratings from his perspective. This exercise brought out so many of the important dimensions that play such significant role in our relationships and spell out the areas requiring more of our growth.
After Mrs. Radcliff’s thorough workshop, Junior Nshei’s event concluded with thanking their volunteers and announcing the winners of their annual “Auction For You”- celebrating women.
Many women immediately reported about how much they felt they learned and were profoundly inspired to work on their relationships because of Mrs. Radcliff’s impressive presentation. Due to the onslaught of positive feedback, work is already under way for another evening with Mrs. Sara Chana Radcliffe.
At this time, there is no recording available. Should it become available, Junior N’Shei will let their members know via e-mail and facebook.

Thank you, Junior N’Shei, for hosting such an interesting lecture. I have her books and read all her articles, and I was afraid she wouldn’t live up to my image of her, but, BH, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that she’s just as wonderful and intuitive in person!
