I happened to be on the aircraft at the time and I happen to think that it is amazing that the flight attendant would take the time to support them. Kudos to those girls!

Girls this Sunday, the boys the week after. They are all winners! May they go from strength to strength. Get your tickets and go watch them in action on Sunday!

Given that the plane was full of people, I’m not sure why you would assume that it was the LCDS MN children who were whooping and not other passengers showing excitement and support. Even if it was them, let children be children! For 10 girls from an area with a small Jewish population to have made it to the finals of such a tough competition is a *huge* accomplishment. They should be able to show some excitement when such an announcement is made!

Everyone is a winner

Everyone who participates is a winner and should use their knowledge to teach others. Is it just girls? Shouldn’t the sign be written in lashon nekaiva?

i have no taynos to the kids,I happen to agree that it is not refined to whoop in a public place. However, these chayalos are just a wonderful group of kinderlach imitating what they have seen adults doing hundreds of times.Let us all congratulate each and every one of the 116 contestants and give them a brocha for hatzlocha.Let us ask Hashem to bring Moshiach ,when everyone will undewrstand on their own, what is refined ,and what is unrefined.

Much nachas

May 28, 2015 1:07 pm

Told me she had no idea about this until she got a note telling her that her class was attending on Sunday
Please in the future can there be more going on about this in the school to make sure all the kids and parents are aware about this and to encourage them more than once to participate

Kids are coming from all over the world! It’s very exciting!!
(I do wish we would train our kids not to ‘whoop’ in public though. It’s so unrefined…)
