The Yeshiva Gedola Lubavitch of London will be beginning this coming school year with a new, yet familiar face.
Rabbi Leibish Heller, an Attendant Rabbi at the Sephardic services of Kinloss United Synagogue, will be taking up a position again at the veteran yeshiva located in Golders Green.
He will serve as Maggid Shiur for Shiur Gimmel as of Elul 5775. The Yeshiva is led by the renowned Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yitzchok Meir Hertz and Mashpia Roshi, Rabbi Mendel Gordon.
Faculty members are Rabbi Yosef Schtroks – Maggid Shiur Aleph, Rabbi Gedaliah Liberman – Maggid Shiur Beis and Rabbi Yosef Zilbershtein – Maggid Shiur for Chassidus. Rabbi Mendel Jacobs is the Mashgiach.
Born in New York, Rabbi Heller was educated in Brooklyn, NY; Paris, France and Israel. He has been living with his wife Dini and their 6 children in England for over a decade.
His father is Rabbi Yosef Heller, a halachic authority who heads the Kollel Menachem of the Rebbe’s secretariat and a former member of the Crown Heights Beis Din.
“There is a lot of excitement and enthusiasm amongst the present Shiur Beis after receiving an introductory shiur recently,” a member of the Yeshiva’s administration told COLlive.com.
London Yeshiva is one of the best yeshivas in the world. With people like Rabbi Gordon, Rabbi Silbestein and now Rabbi Heller there is nothing more to say.

Excellent hanhola , incredible community, situated in one of the wealthiest places in the world, stunning parks ( one being its very own ‘back yard’) , food is the best in london , but mostly this is a very frum chassidisher yeshiva / place , it’s safe unlike France … A few really good boys need to just decide to go instead of all fighting for afew spots in the ” trend ” yeshivas and rebuild Kingsley way to its former glory!

I know him personally and honestly could say that I’ve never met someone like him. He has a amazing head. Gives a great shiur. He’s also chasidish, he farbrengs with the yeshiva. He’s top. So excited.
i was there about 4years ago… and out of all the yeshivos i went to it was my BEST year ever, i wish i would stayed there another 2 years, i only realized how good it was only after i went to other yeshivos around the world,
for those bochurim looking for a family-yeshiva (meaning your not just a number, but the anholo that realy cares about the well being of every bochur) and chassideshe atmosphere with nice place with a lot of green area and parks, and good dormitory, good food. this is the # 1 place to be.

I will never forget the lively and interesting shiurim that Rabbi Heller gave me whilst I was in London.
As a parent of a former Talmid of his, the hashpooh on all levels remains years later. He is a star that helps bochurim excel in learning and chayus in Yiddishkeit.
I’m sure the yeshiva will double in size now that the bocherim know he’s there!
