Both derech arucha and derech ketzara are chabad. Even though in the derech ketzara the love/fear are not ‘created’ by the intellect (as they are in derech ketzara) they are awakened by the intellect. I hope this answers your question.

Is that Chagas? Whats wrong with that Chagas as it is not temporary inspiration brought on by and dependent on someone else, it is in him, his Nefh”e his feelings.
