Both derech arucha and derech ketzara are chabad. Even though in the derech ketzara the love/fear are not ‘created’ by the intellect (as they are in derech ketzara) they are awakened by the intellect. I hope this answers your question.

When the A R says in the Shaar Blat Bderech Arucha Uktzarah is he referring to Chabad and Chagas? When he bigings in Perek 18 explaining about the Ahava Misuteres is that the Derech Ktzarah? Is that Chagas? Whats wrong with that Chagas as it is not temporary inspiration brought on by and dependent on someone else, it is in him, his Nefh”e his feelings. Not intellectually created but part of his DNA to be recalled and actualized by him.
