Israel National News is reporting:
A terrorist stabbing attack took place Wednesday morning on a bus in central Tel Aviv on Begin Road, near Beit Maariv. The terrorist in an Arab man.
13 people were wounded in the stabbing. Three of them are suffering from serious wounds, and two are moderately wounded, while the rest are lightly wounded. One report says two critically wounded people were taken to Ichilov Hospital.
An eyewitness told IDF Radio that two of the wounded were very seriously hurt, having been stabbed “in the brain, in the neck.”
He said that some of the wounded got away from the bus and advanced about 100 or 150 meters before collapsing.
The stabbing rampage took place inside the #40 line bus. He reportedly stabbed the driver first, and this prevented the driver from opening the bus’s doors to let the passengers escape. The doors were reportedly opened by one of the passengers.
He then got off the bus and was chased by police on Hamasger Street. Police fired in the air and shot him in the leg before arresting him.
MDA ambulances are on the scene and treating the wounded.
The assailant is named Hamza Mohammed Hasan Matrouk, a 23-year-old male from the West Bank city of Tulkarem who entered Israel illegally, was shot in the leg by an Israel Prison Service officer on Hamasger Street, near the scene of the incident. After being taken into custody, Matrouk was taken to the hospital for treatment and further police and Shin Bet questioning.

If you came up to me and told me that wearing a shaitel, or Tzitziot (if I was a guy,) would prevent attacks, (Or at least lessen them,) I would look at you like you’re crazy and walk away. A gun for the driver, and a guard from the army. But we shouldn’t have to live like this. Israel is a nice friendly place, they are good people, and kind to each other usually, why doesn’t Hashem do somthing.
I am outraged at the ridiculous joke that is the Israeli government. EVERY Israeli should carry a gun with him and know how to use it. I’d rather see a million “martyrs” than one “prisoner” of these monsters. and number 8 for him to rot in prison the Israeli tax payers have to pay for it. That is until he gets out either in an exchange or escapes. On a positive and productive note, perhaps the buses should all have a chitas on them. In the past we saw how successful this was.
