It was a night for the stars.
On Motzei Shabbos The Beis Medrash Women’s Circle celebrated its third anniversary with a gala melava malka. The evening commemorated dozens of successful programs this past year and heralded a new season of classes and events. Over 100 women sat under the stars, enjoying a sumptuous milchig dinner sponsored by Pomodori and Sushi Spot. A $500 raffle at Lullaby Baby and a meaningful mitzvah auction were hits.
Henny Chanina described her personal experiences as a young married woman in the community searching for a welcoming spot to fit in. After several tries elsewhere, she shared, she found the Women’s Circle and hasn’t left.
Ella Adler of Kensington amused the crowd with stories of her childhood growing up in Brooklyn and her later experiences as a performer.
In support of the Women’s Circle’s upcoming programs, dozens participated in the successful Starstruck campaign, nominating their personal stars in their families and in the community. Mrs. Chana Lipskier – secretary of Beis Rivkah High School, Tamar Wichnin, and Etty Gurevich were honored with the distinctive Super Star Award. Thank you to everyone who donated to this most worthwhile cause. Thank you to our sponsors, Mr. Greens, First Quality, Sushi Spot, Pomodori, and Lullaby Baby.
Please join us for our first event of the new year! The Rosh Chodesh Society with Mrs. Shaindy Jacobson will be Wednesday at 9:30 at the Beis Medrash.
