What a disaster. This has a major mekor in halacha (Chavos Yair, Chasam Sofer et al.) and has nothing to do with chasidim. Anyone who learns on this night is violating a centuries old halacha dating back to the times of rishonim.
Moshe Hus!
best bochur in Lubavitch!!
-a fan of yours:)
do you learn torah all day and night?
your reply to #4 is 100% correct. BTW on january 6th other chassidus keeps that date as a nittel.
the frierdiker rebbe disagrees you
“The reason for not studying Torah on Nittel-night, I heard from my father, is to avoid adding vitality.
My father once said: Those diligent students who begrudge those eight hours and cannot tear themselves away from study – I am not fond of them. This (abstaining from study) applies only until midnight.”

Mordechai Mushinsky is the best chess player ever!!!
there is absolutely no mekor in halocha for this practice , learning torah day and NIGHT is a mitzva deoraisa , this dispicable custom must stop! and to turn a bais medrash into a place of dvarim betailim and shmoozing ? disgusting
I spot a winner
He always used to come play in 770. A genius chess player.
