Levi Rosenblatt, the 22-year-old yeshiva student who was stabbed early Tuesday morning in 770 Eastern Parkway, woke up Tuesday night, according to reports.
A member of Hatzalah Crown Heights updated that Rosenblatt was sedated and underwent a surgical procedure at the Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City.
Prayers for his health were said by his fellow students at the main synagogue at 770 – Lubavitch Headquarters in Crown Heights and well wishers from around the world who were shocked to hear the news.
Rosenblatt, a rabbinical student from Israel, was stabbed in the neck at around 1:00am Tuesday morning by Calvin Peters, a 50-year-old African American man wielding a knife.
On Tuesday night, after waking up, he reportedly spoke to his parents.
