After three exciting and uplifting days, the 700-plus young Shluchim were treated to the annual gala Grand Banquet concluding the Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim, a joint project of The Shluchim Office and Merkos L’inyanei Chinuch and underwritten by The Shluchim Office.
The children entered a beautifully-lit banquet hall with four large screens projecting the event live. A large stage was erected in the center of the room. As they filed in, they joyously sang this year’s theme song, beginning the buildup of the evening’s excitement.
The Banquet opened with a short video presentation of young Shluchim speaking about their unique shlichus in their respective communities. Each child spoke of the unique challenges their shlichus poses, how they assist in their family’s shlichus, and how they feel proud being a Shliach of the Rebbe.
After opening words from head counselor Berel Namdar, the room was swept into song as eight hundred children sung Tzomo Lecha Nafshi along with a video of the Rebbe singing at a Farbrengen.
The children were then addressed by the head counselor on the theme of this year’s Kinus “Ich for doch mit eich,” how a Shliach is never alone as the Rebbe is constantly with the Shliach on his shlichus. A video was then shown of a Sicha of the Rebbe mentioining the same thing as a great zchus that the Shluchim have, followed by a special video montage of children going by the Rebbe for dollars, and the Rebbe speaking of them as influential Shluchim in their shlichus.
As the lights were turned up following the video, the children received the best part of the entertainment as Benny Friedman made a surprise appearance (He had pushed off his flight to London in order to join the young Shluchim!), leading the crowd in a heartfelt medley of Niggunim. Children locked arms as they all sang the nigunnim “With A Tehillim,” and, “Ani Maamin,” which turned into a fiery dance as Benny led the crowd into, “From 770.” It was truly a magical moment.
The children took their seats and were immediately surprised again as Itche Kaddozy joined them live. The popular puppet welcomed them to the largest Kinus Tzeirei Hashluchim yet and introduced a brand new, never-seen-before episode of the Itche Kadoozy Show. The video presentation was made possible by Dovid Taub and the team at jewish.tv.
Young Shliach Tzvi Teichtel from Tempe, AZ addressed the children next, speaking of shlichus in his hometown and how he enjoys his role in the city’s shlichus. To emphasize the theme of his speech, he invited his fellow Shluchim to view a video presentation: an animated video of a story of Berel Baumgarten, the Rebbe’s Shliach in Argentina, narrated by Rabbi Chaim Fogelman.
Before taking leave to his flight to London, Benny Friedman once again took the stage, leading the hall in singing and dancing in the festive Yom-Tov spirit of Rosh Chodesh Kislev.
The energy of the room soared even higher as the roll call began, with each child standing proud and waving their flag as their country was announced. As the roll call came to a close, the room erupted in singing and dancing.
Before closing the event, a recap video of the three day camp was shown, giving the children a quick reminder of the amazing program they had enjoyed.
A music video to the Kinus theme song was debuted, sung by Eli Marcus with music by Chony Milecki and video produced by CJ studios.
Before the children took their leave, the annual raffles were made: various sets of Seforim and other prizes, with the grand prize of a free scholarship to the Tzeirei Hashluchim Winter Camp held each winter in Florida, yet another project of The Shluchim Office catering to the Rebbe’s young soldiers.

My grandson went this year for the first time and have the most incredible time. He was able to spend time with his classmates, who he met in person for the first time and socialize with frum boys like himself. H e lives in a small city, far away with no other frum families close by. What incredible chizuk for him. Thank you so much to his counselor Mr. Namdar, and to everyone that made it possible.
