Shmira Safety Patrol has released security and safety tips for Shluchim attending the Kinus in Crown Heights this weekend.
The volunteer patrol group will be working with the local NYPD 71st Precinct, who is stepping up patrols in the Brooklyn neighborhood, home to Lubavitch Headquarters – 770 Eastern Parkway, in light of this week’s terror attacks in Jerusalem.
“In light of the recent terrorist attacks in Israel, the 71 Precinct will be stepping up visits and presence at all synagogue located in the confines of the 71 Precinct,” Detective Vincent Martinos of the NYPD Community Affairs at the 71st Precinct said.
Martinos noted that “At this time there is no information on any pending activity in NYC and it is strictly a precautionary measure and to reinsure the community we serve of their safety.”
