The International Shidduch Group Network has opened registration for its second conference to be held on Sunday, November 9th/16 Cheshvan, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Beis Levi Yitzchak, 556 Crown St., in Crown Heights. All women involved in making/seeking shidduchim are invited.
“The conference theme is ‘Connect 4 Shidduchim,’ and that is exactly what will transpire at this event,” says Elana Bergovoy, President of the Shidduch Group Network. The Shidduch Group Network is founded on achdus, simcha and Ahavas Yisroel and the principle that “Givers Gain”. Mrs. Bergovoy explains, “We focus more on the ‘U’ in shidduchim than the ‘I’. Members give suggestions to one another, build relationships, and receive suggestion in return. We help each other celebrate simchas and build lasting friendships.”
Along with basking in an energy-boosting dose of inspiration, chizuk and sisterhood, attendees will share profiles and sit in on a panel discussion with shadchanim and shidduch coaches, network with one another and learn valuable dating secrets and tips.
The morning’s Panel Discussion will be moderated by Miriam Swerdlov and panelists Chaya Sara Gurewicz, shadchan; Rabbi Yitzchok Dubov, educator, shadchan and mashpia; and Esther Friedman, Shidduch coach and Temperament Certified Professional, will address pressing questions on shidduchim. Following lunch and networking, Kivi Bernhard, award winning keynote speaker and author, will speak on “Getting to the Goal”. As the afternoon unfolds, attendees will participate in speed profiling and networking, and experts will share their wisdom on, “How to Help our Children and Singles get Engaged and Married Only Once.” Attendees will take home a compilation of profiles and other valuable resources.
Chapter Leaders and those wanting to learn about starting a Chapter in their city are invited to an Evening Chapter Forum to celebrate successes and receive guidance on how to start, strengthen and grow the Shidduch Groups in their cities. Leaders will share what’s worked for them!
The International Shidduch Group Network brings together members for training, networking, profile sharing, support and inspiration.
Last year’s conference drew over one hundred women from New York and beyond including Montreal, Toronto, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Chicago. This year attendees are expected from Chapters in cities as far away as the UK and California. The International Shidduch Group Network has a tested and true recipe leading to successful matchmaking for Jewish singles based upon Torah values and the teachings of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Since its inception over nine years ago, Shidduch Groups have facilitated hundreds of shidduchim. Over four dozen groups in eight countries and thirty-six cities meet on a regular basis to learn the Rebbe’s directives on shidduchim and put them into practice, share profiles of singles, celebrate simchas of couples brought together from across the globe and much more.
If you or someone dear to you is looking for a shidduch, start here! For more information about the event or to register, please visit www.shidduchgroupnetwork.com/events. Space is limited and early bird pricing ends November 2nd. Pre-registration is required.
