very nice picture – Rov and Mashpia
can you please give the reason the Rebbe gave why no title was used for Rabbinim
In the old days the rov was called “Zalman Shimon” then later it was Rabbi Marlow
talmud has many by the first name its all about intentions
It seems that you are not a Chossid and not familiar with the Rebbe’s Sichos. The Rebbe mention many times how in the past all chassidisha Rabbonim were NOT called R’ or Horav etc. (Like Hirshel chein) and the Rebbe explained the source to this and why. Even in his parents home in Russia – said the Rebbe – this is the way it was expressed!
It’s extremely disrespectful to call a Mashpia, especially such a choshuv Mashpia and elterer chossid Stam by his first name (pinya). At least write R’. Where have we fallen! If we don’t respect our mashpiyim which are directing us in life how to expect to respect anything.
