Dr. Edward Gordon (Eitan Akiva Ben Avrohom OBM), a respected surgeon and member of Chabad of Farmington Hills, MI passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Tishrei 28, 5775.
He was 69.
A resident of Oak Park, Dr. Gordon attended services regularly, participated in weekly classes, and had a hand in almost every organization in the city he resided.
A supporter of numerous institutions and organizations in Chabad, he was highly respected by his peers and made lasting friendships with many people.
A respected Podiatric surgeon, Dr. Gordon had licensing to practice Podiatric Medicine in Ohio, Michigan, and California. He was appointed to nine different levels of oversight committees in his field and was a member of ten different honor societies simultaneously.
He was chief of Surgical Podiatry at Bi-county Community Hospital and Acting Chief of Podiatry, Chief of Podiatry at St. John Hospital in Macomb County Center for over thirty years.
He is survived by his wife Aviva Gordon and children Binyomin, Sarah and Estie Rider.
The funeral will take place Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Hebrew Memorial in Oak Park, Michigan.

His medical accomplishments were not his most unique quality. His Eidelkeit, sincerity, and kindness were his strongest qualities and he will be greatly missed by his family his community and all of his friends.
