Hundreds of women packed the main ballroom of Oholei Menachem on Monday evening, September 29th, Vov Tishrei, in celebration of the 50th Yahrtzeit of our beloved Rebbetzin Chana, Em HaMalchus.
Mrs. Esther Sternberg, began the night’s program with her quick wit and feisty style. She regaled us with stories from the front lines of the Neshek campaign. “I want to make you jealous!” she asserted, in hopes of inspiring each of us to go out and get just one more woman or girl to bentch licht.
Next, the heavenly voice of Shaindel Antelis, accompanied by our own Mirele Rosenberger, sang “For Rebbetzin Chana.” The words for this song were composed especially for this event by Levi Yitzchaq Garbose and were set to Reb Levik’s niggun. Mrs. Garbose, a talented actress and film-stage director, brought the world of Rebbetzin Chana and her mesiras nefesh to life with a dramatic reading of excerpts of her memoirs.
And finally, Mrs. Rochel Hendel from Eretz Yisroel addressed the Hebrew speakers among us.
The winners of the Project Moshiach 2,000 Rebbe Dollar raffle are Devora Leiba bas Etel Shifra of Montreal, Anat Moriel and Dassy Gansburg. We now how over 900 women and girls learning to bring the revelation of the Rebbe, and the final, complete geulah. We will continue until it happens! Moshiach Now!
