Kessler asked to join the custom after seeing her daughter Shoshana Solomon doing so with her husband R’ Ezra Solomon.
She first did it, Solomon said, and later “in the car on the way back, (she) asked for an explanation of what she did. ‘First perform the Mitzvah, and then ask questions’ – A lesson to all of us.”
Kessler is the proud grandmother of 7 Lubavitch grandchildren all spread around USA and Canada, including 3 Shluchim: Rochel and Sholom Meir Holzkenner – Chabad of Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Brocha and Moshe Plotkin – Suny in New Paltz, NY; Esti and Chalom Loueb – UBC Vancouver, Canada.
