Crown Heights entrepreneur Yossi Gershovitz, owner of Prime Sandwich, is opening another eatery in Crown Heights.
The new dessert restaurant “21 Flavors,” will be sure to please all the sweet-toothed residents of the neighborhood.
The newly renovated location on Kingston Avenue between Montgomery and Empire Boulevards (formerly AT&T) will feature desserts of all types, including 21 flavors of frozen yogurt, over 30 different toppings, a French crepe bar, salad bar and extensive dessert menu.
The novelty is the self-serve style of the store, where customers will select their own flavors of any combination of frozen yogurt, and pay by weight.
The frozen yogurt, which will come in regular, greek, low-fat, sugar free and parve, will be made fresh on the premises.
The store will accommodate seating for 25 inside, and an outdoor seating area in the back of the store will accommodate another 25 – which will also be available to rent for parties and events.
Gershovitz says he has been dreaming of opening a dairy eatery such as this one for a few years now, but was waiting for the right location to become available.
“The location and the option for outdoor seating, which we’ve winterized for year round use, was exactly what we were looking for,” he told COLlive.
The stunning, brand new storefront is set to open soon after Rosh Hashana.
to all those complaining, i remember when Crown Heights had Zero places to eat out. Shmeel’s closed ess and bentch did not exist and Spritzers diner had also closed. it is great the the schechuna is blossoming so nicely. We should all make effort to patronize all our stores, sforim, clothing, hats, food, restaurants, etc.
BTW, anyone who wants to open a shul, could do that. do not worry about hasagas gvul in this regard.
i’m so excited u can count on me to be the first customer
Junk food~great!
sprinlz makes crepes also
I still don’t see an answer as to what Hechsher it is?
There is already a great salad bar next door at Pomodori.
U New Yorkers are pathetic all u do is complain! Y more icecream? Y not a shul, don’t make it a hang out, bla bla bla think of a of us who don’t live in ny and if were lucky have one restaurant we get to eat in over and over again and deff no kosher ice cream! – get over ur selves if u don’t want to go don’t go it’ll save more for us out a towners!
Was just talking about having this concept in ch after going to 16 handels. It’s a great model to sell by weight instead of nickel and diming ppl on toppings. People (me!!!) will love choosing their flavors and toppings and will keep coming back.
So proud of your great work!
Nech
feel free to open any establishment you think is appropriate or necessary.
place looks like it will be nice. much success.
We have a store called Spinklz in Montreal,
very similar & you also pay by weight, but there ain’ t no salad bar….& crepes,…..
How many eating establishments have opened up over the past few years?
What does this tell us?
i wish stores here thought about the types of doors they use for their customers. those glass doors are so heavy with a stroller. i hope they also have an entrance without a step for strollers as well and of course for those with wheelchairs or other walking impediments.
Could you open up by 7:30 and serve iced coffee for those of us who have to leave for work at that time and want a treat to take with them? Are you serving smoothies? Please keep the prices reasonable. Hatzlacha
What’s the point?? Don’t we already have sweet expressions? But is it crowded, (Sweet expressions,) and it’s good for the money to circulate more, to different people. Ok, makes sense now. I just wish that there was more healthy, yet yummy, types of restaurants in CH. haha.
Anyways, Hatzlacha!!!
Now you have an incentive to lose weight! Weigh Less & Pay Less!
Stick with the lowfat/sugar-free, and you will save!
Sure hope the Greek yogurt comes sugar-free!
haha! i got that!
So it’s ganna cost me more coz I’m fat??!!
Thanks for adding sugar free!! I come several times a year to CH and I am looking forward!

So excited! I’ve been waiting for a good sugar-free froyo for a while! Can’t wait!
what’s wrong with both?
Eating establishments allow you to perform mitzvos such as eating kosher, making brachos…
You can open your own bais midrash or shul or mikvah. No one is saying you can only have one or the other.
Seriously, pessimistic much???
what hechsher?
To #18
You have a point-
Even more, may they be frequented very well and may all flock to learn and daven and go to the Mikva
You just have a salad at the salad bar then! Froyo is good stuff-wish I was in CH for it. Hatzlacha!
but how much food can we in CH eat? i think this will put others out of business
May we see more batei midrashim, shuls and mikvaos and less eating establishments in Crown Heights!
wow gorgeous design inside
I wish they would put more chicken in their sandwiches.
thei place will be good, i hope they give generous cups for froyos
I’m been dreaming for a place like this!
