On Sunday, September 7, the annual L’Chaim To Life Telethon, to benefit Chabad Lubavitch of the West Coast, aired on television stations across the nation and on the web.
In its 34th year, the Telethon, hosted by West Coast Chabad-Lubavitch and its inimitable director Rabbi Boruch Shlomo Cunin, the Telethon was bursting with joy, dancing and singing.
Rabbi Cunin stressed the importance of supporting Chabad and its many programs especially during these days leading up to the High Holidays.
The (first Jewish) Mayor of Los Angeles, Eric Garcetti, Councilman Paul Koretz, Controller Ron Galperin and many other prominent politicians joined Chabad for this special even which raises funds for Chabad’s many social service programs.
As in previous years, many Hollywood celebrities joined the show as well, amongst them Jon Voight, Elliott Gould and others.
The show was hosted by actress Leslie Grossman and notable addresses and greetings were given by the nationwide radio host Dennis Prager, Marshall Grossman and the Governor of California Jerry Brown.
Rabbi Cunin keeps growing mechayil el choyil with the Rebbe’s brochos! True emunah and bitachon to be emulated. May Hashem all of California with rain of blessing, bigashmius ubiruchnius.
