The wear and tear on the building of Yeshivas Menachem of Buffalo, NY was piling up. The extreme weather over the past few years wasn’t helping. Neither were the various Yeshiva Kayitz programs utilizing the building during the summer.
All these factors added up to a major repair project that could no longer be pushed off.
Enter Sruli Katz, a very grateful alum, who like so many other alumni these past 16 years, has kept a strong and continuous connection with the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Yosef Munitz.
Driven by an enthusiastic desire to “give back”, Sruli, who is himself a sought-after contractor in Connecticut, immediately sprung into action. “This is a dream I’ve had for long time,” explained Katz. “I can’t wait to finally bring it to reality.”
Reaching out to fellow alumni through phone calls and Facebook, Katz helped raise enough money to pay for the materials needed for the job. He then took time off to travel to Buffalo with his crew to update the lighting, repair the dorm rooms, and renovate the bathrooms.
“Our Yeshiva was founded to provide personal attention to each Bochur,” said a beaming Rabbi Munitz. “The gashmius side needs to project that mission as well.”
While the final touches are applied to the dorm, registration for the new year is nearing completion as well. To register or for more information please call 716-568-0121 or visit their website at www.yeshivasmenachem.com.

The school and its hanhala gave with all its heart; as a result they are now receiving back from Sruli’s full-heartedness. Really beautiful. Hatzlochoh rabbah to the yeshivah staff and students in the upcoming shnas limud.
I spent a year on the hanhala and the positive energy, individual attention and patience shown by rabbi munitz and the staff has a long laying positive effect on every bochur who has the merit to learn there. Much continued success to continue in your much needed holy work….
Looks aboslutely grand!! Wish it was like this when I was a bochur!

Proud alumni and proud to hear good things are happening in buffalo. Make the Rebbe proud!
A cross is a vertical line with a horizontal line running through it. This is one vertical line with two horizontal lines. Sorry but it is not a cross.
Rabbi munitz is an amazing incredible teacher friend i learnt 14 years ago and still have fresh good memories

Bh was there for 3 years and had an amazing experience! Thank you rabbi!!
Wish I could go back to my years spent in buffalo. There is not many like Rabbi Munitz. He really understood me and we had many long talks. Seeing the renovations puts a smile on my face. From strength to strength!

A big fan
Wow!! That’s amazing! Looks very very nice. Kol hakavod.
What an amazing student but not so hard to understand with a Rosh Yeshivah like my uncle! Caring concern and goodness are the norm.
About the cross thing? All the doors in my house look like that…do we have to change them all?!
Seriously? A cross in the door?! You have to be looking pretty hard to see that!
It’s a zal now, not a Mesivta
Plicture #3 see door , it has a cross ,see inset molding design forbidden by Jewish law to have in your home please change door
So nice to see the place again. Good memories. It looks great!
So special that a former student would do that. Very inspiring. I’ve heard so my much good about this yeshiva. This just shows the special connection Rabbi Munitz has with his students.
Keep up the great work!

best yeshiva of all time
It looks great! So impressed!
They say Rome wasn’t built in a day. That’s only because Sruli wasn’t there!
B”H shkoiach!
It really looks amazing!
Sruli is the best handyman in town
The focus and attention to each bochur is something you will not find in any other yeshiva! And now with the renovations this is a true “home away from home”.
It’s beautiful that alumni get involved, what better endorsement could there be.
We should all be proud of our yeshivos ..no matter how you feel better or worse that’s the education you have and most likely the teachers and hanholos had a lot of mesiras nefesh to give you the knowledge you have.
So I ask ‘what have you done for your yeshiva lately?
Wow so special you see how the students really appreciate the school keep on going from strength to strength
you go man!
People should learn from him and do the same for all yeshiva dorms, as long as there is a flow of kindness there will be goodness to help.
